About Me

Hi, I’m Lucy

I live in Milton Keynes and have two children. My first child was born during lockdown, and i remember how quickly sleep became everything. I was constantly watching schedules, counting naps, and feeling as if one nap was missed, the whole day would feel ruined.

At the time, it felt overwhelming and all-consuming. What I learnt along the way is that it doesn’t end if a nap is missed.

Sleep matters deeply, but doesn’t exist in a perfect bubble, and neither does family life.

Alongside becoming a parent, I work as an occupational therapist in the NHS within a perinatal team. I see the real, day-to-day impact of sleep deprivation on parents, relationships, bonding and mental health. It comes up again and again, families asking how to cope, how to survive and how to get rest without loosing themselves in the process.

This is what has led me here to train as a sleep coach. I wanted the knowledge and skills to support families properly with sleep in a way that considers regulation, emotional wellbeing, development and the realities of daily life, not just routines and rules. I firmly believe that everyone deserves sleep, and that we can't expect parents to enjoy parenting, feel regulated or feel connected if they are not getting one of the most fundamental needs. Rest.

Fast forward to my second whirlwind, and sleep looks very different again. He has had to adapt around school runs, clubs and life happening in between. Its a reminder that sleep is not static. It shifts as families grow, circumstances change, and children develop. This is why my approach to sleep is realistic, flexible and individual. i don’t believe in perfection or pressure. I believe in supporting families to find what works for them, so sleep feels more manageable, and life feels more balanced.

How I Can Help

When we work together, we focus on understanding what’s driving your child’s sleep difficulties and what feels realistic for you as a parent. There’s no one fixed method. I support families using a range of evidence-based approaches, chosen thoughtfully and adjusted to suit your child and your values.

My role is to help you cut through the noise, make sense of what's happening and move forward with a clear management plan. So sleep feels less overwhelming and more possible, and to get back to what you want to do.
